About

CFTV is back on the air with our new tower servicing our surrounding area of Essex county. We are currently running two channels, CFTV - 1 and CFTV- HD. Soon we will open up CFTV - 3 and CFTV - 4. Our programming can also be seen on COGECO CABLE channel 100 in Kingsville and Leamington. We are also in the process of releasing a mobile app which will allow our programming to reach you wherever you may be, and on whatever device you may be using. CFTV started out as a low-power community television station in Leamington, Ontario, Canada, which began broadcasting in late 2005. The station was licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission in 2003. CFTV is owned and operated by a local non-profit consortium known as Southshore Broadcasting, and broadcasts on local cable systems such as COGECO  and nationally across Bell TV. CFTV is one of seven independent, nonprofit, community focused, television stations in Canada and is the first low power station to be granted a multiplex license for four channels over the air. CFTV’s goal is to be a primary outlet for communities to obtain relevant, factual and unbiased news as well as a variety of community focused entertainment programming on our Arts And Culture channel. CFTV pushes the envelope of controversial issues to obtain the truth and speak on behalf of those without voices. CFTV is your choice and your voice, so stay tuned.
